IBSA Nordic is pleased to welcome you to this webinar, focusing on the theme of complications.
The use of dermal fillers is expanding globally, accompanied by a proliferation of brands, types, properties, and outcomes. This rapid expansion correlates with an increase in associated complications. Notably, a significant factor contributing to these complications is a lack of practitioner experience. A thorough understanding of facial anatomy and careful consideration of product selection are imperative.
To mitigate and prevent complications, knowledge plays a pivotal role. Our IBSA Nordic trainer, Dr. Peter James, will comprehensively address various acute/subacute and late-onset complications, offering a detailed understanding of their nature, mechanisms, and appropriate management strategies.

DR PETER JAMES BRUHN earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Copenhagen. He is a specialist registrar in vascular surgery at the Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet. As a former Research Fellow at the University of Michigan and University at Copenhagen, Dr. Bruhn gained an insight into experimental cellular physiology research. In addition, he has a certificate in the treatment with non-permanent fillers. Dr. Bruhn is an author of numerous publications with a focus on physiological responses to shock and tissue hypoperfusion. His passion and devotion also led him to become a member of the Danish Society for Vascular Surgery (DKKS), the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) and the Danish Society of Military Medicine (DMMS). Moreover, Dr. Bruhn has his own practice in centre Copenhagen, as well as serves as a Medical Officer with the Royal Danish Navy.
